The Best Robot Vacuum and Mop Combo

The Q Revo is a great option for those looking for an affordable mop and robot vacuum. It gives a great mopping experience, but it lacks the advanced features of its more expensive counterpart.

During testing it was able to take on dust and dry oats on carpets of medium pile as well as pet hair on hard floors. It doesn't employ LIDAR, however, as cheaper models do to locate your home.

1. IRobot Roomba S9+

The iRobot Roomba S9+ is one of the top robot vacuums. It is a powerful cleaner and numerous features, including an automatic dirt bin built into its charging base. This robot can learn your cleaning habits, and suggest automatic schedules that will give you an effortless cleaning experience.

The iRobot Home App guides you through the process of setting up. Once everything is connected, you can start the automated cleaning functions with the touch of one button. You can choose an overall clean that emphasizes cleaning up larger debris like cereal and rice or go for two thorough maps of your home to ensure that your home has a clean and tidy appearance.

This robot vacuum is effective on both bare floors and carpets with low pile. It is able to take large objects and doesn't lose suction as quickly as some other models and can remove pet hair with ease. It has a difficult time with plush or high-pile carpet, however iRobot says it will get better with future models.

The S9+ is a new design from iRobot that is focused on improving the edge and corner cleaning. It's the first Roomba that adopts a flat-fronted D-shaped design. The company hopes this will allow it hug walls and furniture. It's a nice improvement over the hockey puck-like design of most robovacs, though we found it to be only incrementally better than circular models.

iRobot also claims that the S9+ has an improved filtering system that blocks microscopic dust particles and allergens from recirculating in your home. It's a nice claim however, we're not convinced it's enough to justify the high price price.

Its smart navigation system uses sensors to remember the structure of your home, and vSLAM to map your interior of your home. It then cleans your entire house efficiently by avoiding obstacles like stairs and other barriers. The iRobot Home app lets you control the robot and set cleaning times, as well as set up virtual boundary markers, so it is aware of areas that require extra attention.

2. Roborock Q Revo

Roborock Q Revo is a robotic that combines vacuuming and mopping. Its vacuum settings are as effective as those on more expensive models and its mopping feature is better still--its spinning pads do a better job of scrubbing floors than a stationary vibrating pad.

The only drawback is that it doesn't have an additional rubber brush for more thorough cleaning, but that's an acceptable cost to pay if want one of the best robots on the market. The dust tank on the robovac is larger than its competitors and filling it up takes only two or three cycles even when you have maximum dirt.

As for the mopping device, I was awestruck with its ability to remove hard-to-clean dirt from my floors. Its two lowest mopping settings that are less powerful than high-powered ones, create little noise, so you can work or even watch TV without being distracted. If it encounters a wall or piece of furniture, it gently bumps into it before moving on.

What really sets the Q Revo apart is that it's designed to operate almost autonomously with very little need for user intervention. The robo-vac has a multifunction dock that can automatically transfer physical garbage into the bin hidden in the background and washes and drys the mop pads and refills its clean water tank. The app will only notify you when something is not right like a low clean water tank or a vacuuming session that is cancelled due to the bin being full.

You can also create or combine actual rooms to personalize the way Q Revo manages your home. This is an excellent feature to have if you have several areas of the home with different floor materials or if there's clutter that must be cleaned out frequently, such as toys, clothes, and books. The robot vacuum is also efficient and was among the top performers in my tests, taking debris from both carpets and hardwood floors in the first attempt. It can even vacuum up wet spills. I recommend drying the area with a towel prior to sending it in.

3. Ecovacs Deebot X2 Omni

The X2 Omni has all of the features you'd want from a high-end robot vacuum and mop and more. It comes with an omni-rotating mop as well as a powerful vacuum that can clean carpets and hard floors. It is similar to the iRobot Roomba S9+. It also comes with a self-cleaning station that automatically washes and empties the mop pads, keeping them clean and ready for reuse. It also has a sensor that detects obstacles more accurately, allowing it to avoid falling on furniture and other objects.

The most significant improvement over the ECOVACS Deebot X1 is that this version is sleeker and more modern design thanks to Danish firm Jacob Jensen Design (best known for Bang & Olufsen products). While still quite massive--it's nearly two feet tall and deep and weighs in excess of four pounds--the entire robot and its base are less bulky than the Roborock Q Revo or iRobot j7.

This model is more efficient than the X1 as it charges faster and can clean up 1,500 square feet in one charge. It also comes with a larger and more robust dustbin that can store more debris. This makes it easier to empty.

Finally it is worth noting that the X2 Omni has a more intuitive app as well as voice assistant that operates offline, allowing you to control it even when you're not home. It also has a smart routing feature that lets it clean specific rooms or areas of your home, instead of following a set path.

The X2 Omni is the best robot at mopping. Its rotating mop pads clean tough stains and its motor creates a lot of downward pressure. Its vacuuming performance is outstanding as well and it enhances suction when it detects carpet to ensure it does an excellent job. It comes with a huge rechargeable battery that lasts up to one week. The mopping mode of the robot is also extremely effective.

4. Dreametech L10s Ultra

The Dreametech L10s Ultra is a premium mop and vacuum robot that comes with a variety of convenience features that you aren't likely to find on robots of this price range. It is able to create detailed floor maps and detect different types of flooring. It's also among the only robots that automatically clean and dry its mop pad. Although these features are useful but they also make the L10s Ultra more in the luxury category and could mean it's somewhat more expensive than the average homeowner require.

The L10s Ultra looks like a modern floor cleaner. It's tall and slim with a white finish accented with silver elements and mirror plating. The front of the machine features a large bumper that protects the furniture and vacuum cleaner when you are moving around your home. Sensors are concealed behind the front pane which helps the L10s Ultra navigate around tight corners and avoid obstacles.

On the top of the vacuum, there is a single button that is used as an on/off switch. Pressing this will activate the vacuum, and clicking it again will shut off the vacuum and return it to its base station. The control panel has the circular menu which allows you to select cleaning modes or schedules, as well as preferences. The left and right buttons will allow you to access the settings in the app, where you can alter the way the L10s Ultra interacts with your home.

Similar to the iRobot Roomba S9+ and Roborock Q Revo, the L10s Ultra uses a combination of LIDAR and camera-based navigation techniques to map out your house. This creates a detailed floor plan that allows the robot vacuum and mop with ease and avoid getting stuck in cluttered areas. The LIDAR also helps the robot vacuum recognize and avoid obstacles and obstacles, which is a wonderful feature for households with children more info or pets.

The L10s Ultra has a solid vacuuming capability that clears 98.4 percent of debris from our hardwood floor test and removing all but the most difficult juice stain. Its mops are also quite efficient, taking away 98.4 percent of the debris that was found on our wood, tile, and carpet tests. It was not as efficient in removing sand from the hard flooring or quaker oats off the carpet.
